Question

My dad was at a restaurant with his friends and one of his friends went outside to get something from his car. He comes back in and tells my dad that there are police outside and that my dad's car is hit. Some 90ish year old lady hit my dad's car hard enough to move it 90 degrees. She was in a Grand Marquis. I don't have any pictures and I haven't seen the car, but my dad said it didn't look very pretty. :'(

Here's the thing now.

My dad is hesitant to get another 5 series because he fears that they will change it very soon therefore dropping the value if he ever intends to sell it in the future. Does anyone know if they are going to have any significant changes anytime soon? If so, when? I read a post about a facelift. I'm sure that probably won't matter much, but I'm talking a significant change.

I would not worry about the cosmetic changes expected in 2007 as they appear very minor. However, the engine change from a 530i to the 535i seems significant - however, given this model change, there are great lease deals to be had on the current 530s as well as the 525i.

Oh, I didn't know that the 530i will be a 535i. Does that mean that there will no longer be a 525? Because my dad is looking into finance a 525xi.

528 will likely replace 525 as 328 & 335 E90 3 series already on my dealer lot.

Haha well, he needs a new car ASAP. Right now one of his friends is letting him borrow his Lexus ES but my dad is probably going to give it back soon. I take one car to my university, my sister takes the other to a different university, and my dad took his BMW.

So basically it happned a few months too soon!

Old people should not be allowed to drive.

There needs to be mandatory driving exams every year over age 80.
