Did you fly through London. Im taking American in May from Chicago and there is no direct flight. Im connecting thru London both ways.

Nope, flew to Frankfurt and used our airline miles on AA. Rented a car in Frankfurt and drove to Munich. When I do this again , its either Munich directly or ICE train from the Frankfurt airport.
