Hello all!

I currently own an 08 328i, pretty basic with only leather and xenons, no other options. As my 2 kids are growing and I find myself having friends in the car more often, I find that the E90 isn't exactly what I need in roominess, and so am looking at possibly getting a used E60.

The one in particular I am wanting to go look at is a 2006 550i, Silver ext/Black int., auto with Cold Weather and Sport Pkgs and around 71.5k on the odometer. I currently have around that much on my E90, but as the cars are different, I was wondering what I should be looking at on the 550 with that kind of mileage.

Price on the car is 19.8k, which KBB priced it out at 24k so it seems like a pretty good deal. Aside from more room and a stronger engine, what other differences will I notice between the two, and would it be considered an upgrade or going backwards since the E60 is 2 years older?

What I like and what you like are different. I have a E90 335i and just picked up an E60 550i Msport. 535i Msport every option is so rare, settled for 550i.

Options i look for are
1. Comfort Access
2. Logic 7
3. Navi

Narrows the market a bit.

2008 E60 you get nicer looking head and tail lights. Seats are really comfortable soft leather over our e90 might be an upgrade i dunno. Nothing beats the E90 fully modded throwing it into the twisties!

 

The E60 and E90 are pretty much same cars except for interior spacing and engine. Don't do it, BMWs are waste of time and money. You're talking about going from an 08 E90 to an 06 550. Expect trouble. JMO
