I have a 2008 535i with sports package and I saw a 550 yesterday that looked identical to my car... same wheels, same front end look, same rear look... there was nothing different in the appearance (except for the 550 badge) that I could see. Were the 550s once exactly the same in appearance as the 535s? I do not think this was a re-badge as the guy looked to be in his mid to upper 50s and he just did not seem the "type" to rebadge.

If he bought the car with no sports pack and updated the wheels to the 124's it might look the same.

Yes, the '08 535i is a near doppleganger of the '07 550i. The only difference is the 535i has a smile in the front bumper whereas the '07 550i has a frown.

Evil Twin, sounds correct...
124's and Mtec are really the only difference on the out side other than the badge...

A few years of German in school is all, but I've forgotten most of it.
