I'm live in the Las Vegas area. Don't know of any shops that are reputiable. I also have the 18 inch sport wheels for a 530i. I should just roll on 14s!

Heck no, just go and get a new rim!

I don't know of any in Las Vegas, but maybe your dealer could give you a few leads.
As far as just buying a new rim goes, well Riracing has a point. If it's a scrap that is flaking, it will probably cost you around 100+ to fix it. A new rim will most likely cost $350-400. I don't have a price guide in front of me, so please correct me if I am wrong. But you at least get a new rim without the worry of bon-do and paint.
Just my .02

Had to hug the corner of a curb to not get hit by some jackass making a wide turn into the parking lot. SCEERRRATCH!!!
Back right rim has a nice 6 inch scratch on the edge.
So after 1500 miles her cherry is broken..
I dont know if i should leave it alone, fix /repair, or upgrade..

What is a take off rim?
From my understanding it is someone who gets the vehicle delivered (not necessarily) at the dealer, then decides they want something else. The dealer assists as they want your money, take your rims and give you another set. Of course you pay whatever godly amount they demand of you. Dealer keeps the rims and sells them for a lesser amount.
I am sure I have a few details skewed.
Anyway, hope this helps

You put it a little bit crudely,I'll clean it up for you because it happen to me at my dealer,JMK,and was very happy with the out come.
A take off rim is when someone gets a NEW car delivered and they want to upgrade there rims. The dealer sells the rims that were taken off the car at a reduced price,in my case $180 for a $450 rim, for one reason or another they can't sell the take off rim for the full price of a NEW rim even if it is NEW. A $180 for a rim that would cost you $450 IMHO is not a Godly amount.
cheers

PS Thats why I said do a search, the complete details of the subject are in other posts

I had "the rim guy" out to fix the rims on my M3 three times. He came to my office, fixed the rims, and after each repair I could not determine where the defect had been. The cost was $50.00 for each rim. This gentleman was referred to me by my client advisor. The scratch of a rim is inevitable over time, no matter how careful we are. For me it is only going to be a temporary blemish.
