Had to hug the corner of a curb to not get hit by some jackass making a wide turn into the parking lot. SCEERRRATCH!!! Back right rim has a nice 6 inch scratch on the edge. So after 1500 miles her cherry is broken..

I dont know if i should leave it alone, fix /repair, or upgrade..

I bet if you take it to a place that specializes in wheel repair, you can get it fixed for $100.

Sorry to hear

What rims and tires do you have?

Sorry the say, but I would say that you need to check the
bearaings and buy you a brand new wheel (and maybe tire)!

If it helps u then:
http://www.bmwtips.com/tipsntricks/wheel-r...cuff-repair.htm

It didn't help me since the aftermarket parts here are so hard to find. No way i can find that. And also i'm a bit afraid to paint it. I have an inch on a scratch like that on my front right rim.

I did the same thing two weeks ago at the parking garage at O'Hare. I was flaming mad ... but at least I was the cause of my first major blemish.

I plan to leave it until I change over to summer wheels & tires. My dealer has a wheel shop they send it to and for $150 it's repaired and re-painted good-as-new.

You may also be able to find an alloy wheel repair specialist in your area that repairs it onsite (at your home or work).

Any quality wheel repair guy can get that scratch buffed out and your wheel polished and shiny just like new. Don't even have to take the wheel off.

Depending on the depth, length and extent of the curb rash, it'll be anywhere from 50 to 250.

You have a small scratch (?) but dfunk, as I understand it, did bad; a 6 incher...

Still, why save a few $100 on repairing a wheel whilest driving a $$$$$ car???

It will never be the same good original wheel ever again!

I live in the Las Vegas area. Don't know of any shops that are reputiable. I also have the 18 inch sport wheels for a 530i. I should just roll on 14s!
