Unhappy

This is strange....I visited the dealer yesterday for a pre-delivery check and noticed that my cruise control was missing. The spec sheet mentioned dynamic cruise control, but on this model it just wasn't there. I was told that they don't get dynamic CC anymore in Dubai (it was a mistake on the spec sheet) and no CC at all in the 2008 520i, 523i etc. Something wrong here or am I just being paranoid ? I thought all E60's came with CC as a standard ?

All UK cars come with cruise - but the 520i isn't available in the UK.

Not sure this helps much though.

I cannot understand that BMW would make an E60 without a cruise control!!! Have you checked with your dealer???

DCC-Dynamic Cruise control (new feature, Standard on 2007-X5s and 2008- E60s) works on high speeds especially on curves and turns, It is inbuilt and not on display in any form.....does not have any switch.

SCC-Standard Cruise control should not be cofused with ACC or DCC
ACC-You can order Active Cruise control ( option)

OK Maybe thats it. Can you tell me more about "Dynamic Cruise Control" then ? I mean if there is no "switch" (stalk) for controlling it, how does it work ?
Thanks

From: www.Worldcarfans.com search 2007 BMW X5 (New BMW X5 Unveiled: In Detail , Page 9 ? Features)

Another feature on the new BMW X5 is Dynamic Cruise Control with brake function. It acts on the engine management, the gear selected, and the brakes in order to precisely keep the speed set by the driver. Constantly registering the car?s lateral acceleration, Dynamic Cruise Control also recognizes when the X5 is in a bend and reduces the speed of the car accordingly. To keep the vehicle at the right speed when driving downhill, and also when towing a trailer, the system will intervene with the brakes if required.

(This feature is Standard on E60s-(2008 models in USA)( Do not Know in Non-US BMWs)

So I assume this DCC will read the driver's mind... To know when the driver wants constant speed...
