I read with interest of various problems and remedies posted on this board.
I have suffered with the creaking seat for sometime and looked into both the seatbelt fastener and sub-woofer theory, but neither remedies worked.
I had up to that point been vary cautious with the WD40, but last night decided to really set about it. Here is what I did:-
1) Seatback fully reclined and applied WD40 under elastic material right at the base of the seat between the seatbase and backrest.
2) applied WD40 behind the circular plastic cover at the bottom of the seat on the side.
3) slide seat fully forward and applied WD40 to the inside of the runners
4) sprayed springs under the drivers seat.
So far the creaking has gone - I'll continue to listen though!
I've also had the dreaded creaking doors - commited cardinal sin and applied WD40 to the felt material on the top edge of the doors - seemed to have worked although I'm expected the creaking to return - If so it's a dealer trip.
For years I have blitzed squeaks, creaks, rattles with WD40 and am finally glad to have given in to temptation.

Jonboy,
Hope you've got a good air freshener in your car. It may be squeak free but it can't smell very pleasant now with all of that WD40 in there![Big Grin](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/biggrin.gif)

Don't know what you mean, i happen to appreciate the aromatic quality of WD40 and often apply it to other body parts

WD-40 is allegedly a great cure for arthritis.
