Okay, my 545 is in the second time to fix the creaking noise coming from the rear seat shelf area. The first time in they replaced the seat belt mechanism but that wasn't it. My appointment is next week. ANyone have any further experience with this? The back seat shelf areas creaks like an old wood floor any time you accelerate or go over bumps.

I had the same problem. The dealer performed the following on my car: "Rubber for rear seatback torn/rubbing. Found the latch for the rear seat back rattling/squeaking. Replaced rear seat lock part #52-20-7-112-863"

Worked perfectly for about 5 weeks, now this morning, I've noticed it starting again. It's driving me nuts!! I'll have them look at it when I get my first oil service next month. Let us know if your dealer can find out anything else next week.

Hey guys there is an earlier thread on this topic. The noise you are hearing has to do with the back shelf, behind the seat and rubbing against the back/rear window. There is a fix for it and they guys that went through this before wrote about it. My feeble brain just can't bring it up right now. Do a search and you should find it.

I had mine in for similar noices from the back shelf and back door area. The service report came back as follows:

"speaker cover mounting - adjust speaker cover with felt tape"

"creak in driver rear door - perform bulletin 51 07 04"

I have noticed a great improvement since the repairs.
