Crash Sensor....Do i really have to remove bumper?
I've been dealing with an air bag passenger error for about a year. I finally tracked it down to the front passenger side air bag sensor.
Have anyone ever replaced one of these? It is located under the bumper cover, the TIS shows that the bumper cover have to be removed but I was hoping for an easier process. If anyone has ever done this without removing the bumper please share. |
you definitely can, if your david blaine or have some type of magic skills.
but seriously, it is super easy to remove the bumper, like 3 screws each side, 5 torx on top, 2 on bottom if i remember correctly. why make the job harder than it is, remove the bumper, replace sensor. done. |
Removing the bumper is super easy. Just make sure you get every bolt out, and be careful not to hit the fenders with the edges of the bumper when pulling it away from the guides.

I guess I just gotta do it. I'm gonna remove the headlight first to see if I can reach the sensor.
