I have the same issues with creeking seals; I also have an issue with the shades, but only when the road is a little bumpy. I'm living with the noise, but I don't think its right. I also know that a lexas is a quite as a mouse, these guys could do just a little bit better for a $60+ grand car.

I have that cracking noise too  if you are anal about car noise....it bothers....

This is what a friend of mine did:

Aha....that is carried over from the E39.

I solved mine (you mean "creaking" right? Not Cracking) on the E39
much like an old sail ship when it's turning or rocking?

Many people blame it on the weather seals around the doors,
I thought it was a combination of several things.
The main culprit, according to Cosmos Forensics, pointed to the door sills.
The bottom of the door panels were pushing against the door sills, now, when I pushed my fingers on those door sills...they creak!
So I did repeated pushes on them and it duplicated the noise...BINGO!
I removed all 4 door sills, including dismantling the chrome pieces from the rubber/plastic pieces,
applied grease all around clips and contact areas, then reinstalled.
Never heard any creaks after that for a good 2 years or so until I sold it.

Now, I don't know how the door sills look like in your car.
Every car has their own design flaws, I need to look and inspect around, AND with luck, find the culprit.

I have the same crackling door issue as well on my front passenger and rear driver doors. Car used to be nice and quiet and recently for some reason it started acting up. Whenever I go over bumps or the road is less than smooth, creak creak crack crack. Very annoying if you don't have radio/music on.

After some detective work, I noticed it was the door jam, same exact thing Jordan posted about. Not sure if its coming loose or something, but I can literally shake the piece just pushing up and down on it, and yes it starts creak creak creaking away. Haven't had time to go to the dealer yet to have them look at it and hopefully offer a fix....

My 545 is creaking and crackling with every twist of the body. It's gotten much worse over the past few months with the warmer more humid weather we have here in Chicago. All door seals were replaced last year and the guide in driver's door window this last service visit. I've resigned myself to the fact that the day my BMW problems will end is the day my lease is up. This is my third and last BMW at least for awhile. I need a break.

My dose the same thing with the weather seals, my is a o4 car and there was something wrong at the weather seals, but I have not change them just put some leather polish on them every month, and it all gose away.
But you car is a 07 so take it back to the dealer and get them to check it out of fix it for free.
