Oh, I had such a wonderful time at the meet and greet. It was great meeting everyone. Can't wait until the next one.

The sad part though is on my way home, driving down the 101 a rock popped up and cracked my windshield. I was very upset after that but I guess things. happen. I think this region in the Malibu, Santa Barbara area has lot's of bugs and debri on the road. Well it's off to the insurance company to see if it's covered expense.

Sorry to hear. Depending on the size of the crack you might be able to just find a glass service to fill it rather than replacing the whole windshield. It also might save you a deductible payment also. Good luck with the fix tho.

Welcome to the club Bro. I am on my third windshield on my 2004 e60, with 52000 mls. Each time it cost me about $700, and the new one that was put on last September has a new chip already!! I was mad when it happened.I saw the rock coming off the cement truck, bounced off the road and into my new glass. I called the company and complained, but they denied it was their truck that did it.I live in the Dallas area and it SUCKS to have to change out two windshield already!!

just had my windshield replaced through the insurance last week. Insurance company wouldn't cover OEM glass but put a PPG replacement in. Was a little worried about the non-OEM glass but I read a few post from guys who haven't had problems with non-OEM glass.

Cracked windshield is covered as part of your comprehensive coverage. It is generally only a couple bucks more to have a $100 deductible than a $1000 deductible on comprehensive. So you would only need to pay $100 to get a new one installed.

For sure go with a aftermarket windshield.

You got to be nutz to pay for the OEM piece of glass unless no one makes it. Most aftermarket windshields are made to the same spec as OEM windshields.
