CPO cover valve cover gaskets (canadian)

My Ride: 2006 Titanium Silver 550i, with all the bells and whistles!!
I was discussing some hypotheticals with my SA today while waiting for a quote on a lower engine cover. she told me CPO warranty does not cover valve cover gasket replacement! 
Really? How can a valve cover gasket be a wear tand tear item? She also told me it doesn't cover thermostats, however, I know this to be incorrect, because they just replaced mine under CPO for the $50 deductible (beats the $600 parts and labour cost).
just curious about things like gaskets. I guess I have my CPO paperwork somewhere, just wondering if anyone has personal experience with a valve cover gasket replacement.

for anyone else interested...gaskets/seals not covered unless they are required to be replaced during a repair that is covered...see page 7!

My Ride: 2008 550I M Sport, Premium pkg, Logic 7, Sport Automatic Trans, Paddle Shifters, Nav, Comfort Access, Rear Shades, Satellite, PDC
I had oil leaking from the valve cover gasket in November and they covered it under the CPO minus the $50 deductible. I was ready to pay but found a 550 I liked much better and traded the old one in.
