Hi all

My friend has a Benz (fool), and when he stops the car at night his headlamps stay on for 30 seconds after he locks the car, I think this is called a "courtesy light" to help you up your driveway in the night or something.

Anyway, has the E60 got this feature? I don't really need it, but one-upmanship and all that......

I think we have it, is in i mode under vehicle setting under lights. In that option I get the option of choosing daytime running light and that setting you are talking about. The DRL doesn't work here in HK, don't know if you have to shut the car down and restart it before it works normally (like installing programs on your XP).

yes we all have this feature. After your car is shut off and the key out of the ignition pull the flash lights button. The one you use for turn signals and flash light...... 30 secs of lights as well. What did you think MB is better

The length of time they stay on is adjustable through an option on the i-drive. It's all in the manual!

I know there's an option in i-drive, but my manual makes no mention of this feature. Unless I'm blind

Here's how mine work after trying it out.

Press down on your i drive and go to vehicle setting, under lights there is a option call Home lights adjust that for how many seconds you wish (mine is at 30). When you shut off your engine with key in off position, use you high beam flasher (pull towards you) the low beam will stay on for the seconds you have selected.
