I understand what you are expressing. But, you may be being a little optimistic. Consiser:
C5 Z06--3100 lbs/400 hp = 7.75 and yields low 12's.
Audi RS4-- 3900 lbs/420 hp = 9.29. Low 12's?![](http://thevistaforums.com/style_emoticons/default/iiam-busted.gif)

Correct Zman, but don't forget that if the Audi was rear wheel drive it would be lighter.

Wait whos results?
Were you going to adjust my results for the IS 350?
Were you going to adjust my results for the IS 350?
I can't make meaningful adjustments for anything but 1/4 time and 1/4 ET without a huge amount of additional data. So, sorry Joe. I can only make adjustments for Eric. Here are Eric's adjustable data.
1/4 13.63 secs @ 100.6 mph. Note that the data I will provide will contain error to the extent the weather data do not correspond rather closely to the weather at the time and place your pass was made. I will do the calcs two ways--first using Eric's weather and second using Joe's weather data.
Eric's Weather Data:
Calculate Density Altitude:
Your results:
Air Temp 81 (?F)
Altimeter Setting 29.93 (in)
Dew Point 64 (?F)
Altitude 35 (Feet)
Density Altitude 1709.8 (feet)
Correct 1/4 mi. Timeslip to Sea Level:
Your results:
Density Altitude 1709.8 (feet)
Uncorrected ET 13.63 (sec)
Uncorrected MPH 100.6 (mph)
Corrected ET 13.368
Corrected MPH 102.616
Correct 1/4 mi. Timeslip to 500' Density Altitude for Comparability with grogan545 and Znod.
Your results:
E.T. 13.368 (sec)
Trap Speed 102.616 (mph)
Measured DA 0 (feet)
Corrected to 500(feet) DA
Corrected ET 13.439 (sec)
Corrected Trap Speed 102.067 (mph)
Great results Eric. One caution is that you need to be pretty sure your meter is calibrated correctly. What pitch setting did you use? Other than rollout, that's the only setting that you could have fouled up that would affect your 1/4th results. Did you use a 1' rollout? If not, then you're results will need further correction for compariability with g-man and I. Please let me know. Also, it is very important that you believe that your "strip" is both flat and level. Even a small amount of down hill will invalidate the amount you can rely on your results to some extent. You can do a crude check. Drive your car through the 1/4, beginning well before the start, very very slowly, both ways, and see if your altitiude changes. Here we go again.
Joe's Weather Data:
Calculate Density Altitude:
Your results:
Air Temp 78 (?F)
Altimeter Setting 29.96 (in)
Dew Point 68 (?F)
Altitude 35 (Feet)
Density Altitude 1526.3 (feet)
Correct 1/4 mi. Timeslip to Sea Level:
Your results:
Density Altitude 1526.3 (feet)
Uncorrected ET 13.63 (sec)
Uncorrected MPH 100.6 (mph)
Corrected ET 13.4
Corrected MPH 102.357
Correct 1/4 mi. Timeslip to 500' Density Altitude for Comparability with grogan545 and Znod.
Your results:
E.T. 13.4 (sec)
Trap Speed 102.357 (mph)
Measured DA 0 (feet)
Corrected to 500(feet) DA
Corrected ET 13.471 (sec)
Corrected Trap Speed 101.81 (mph) (Take your pick of results depending on which weather data you think are better.)
grogan 545's best weather and 500' altitude adjusted--13.248 @ 106.827 (average for best 5--13.464 @ 104.896)
Znod's best weather and 500' altitude adjusted--13.386@ 106.413 (average for best 5--13.469 @ 105.323).
Way to go Eric.

I don't buy your argument. I wouldn't fail to buy the best car of existing cars for my purposes because it could be better lighter if it were a different car.

It's just me Zman.I can't get by the all wheel drive for performance. All wheel drive to me is for bad weather. If I had something like a S4 I would still have a SUV for bad weather.I don't drive my good wheels in ice or snow.
