Waiting anxiously....
Capture Mini DV to computer. Make a simple movie using movie editing softare and the format of your choice. If small, attach to forum message. If too large, which probably will be the case, then upload movie file to webspace and insert its URL into your forum post. Here is an example:

B&B Muffler

(Movie/Sound Clip--QuickTime--Works at least with Safari, Camino, Firefox, and Explorer--Or Try Links at Top of Page)

We should all get the gmeters and share our times
Now there's a great idea. Check the "5-series Straight-line Performance Discussion"out.

And, "The Official G-Meter Testing Thread" should be highly pertinent.

Nice info So Cal and very, very nice pics

So this means that the new 335i will be faster than any V8 E60.

The factory promises 5,5 sec from 0 to 62 mph (not only 60) with the new 335i coup?.

Hi Rr. I think that 335i will be faster. I may buy I. And, it should be a simple matter to change a little pulley here or a little pulley there to pick up another 30 hp without increasing the risk of pre-detonation very much. But, on the other hand, I also think that BMW is planning some V-8 hp increase. As things stand, the 550i is underpowered in relation to the competition--e.g., the Audi RS 4 and even a C55 AMG--thinking in terms of Lbs/HP.

Yes, Znod, so it is.

But still, I haven't seen any data on any other V8 but the new M3.
And that's only a 4 litre 400 hp engine...

For sure there will be the M5 boost to 540 hp but that leaves the gap
for a nice 5.0 litre "regular" V8 with some...

The RS Audi's and M-B AMG's are competition the BMW M models!

PS. Did you notice this link?

Yes, but you can get an RS 4 for close to the 550i price. The price difference would be so negligble depening on how equipped that I would never consider the 550i. Unfortunately, I like the 550i styling better. Then, there is the Audi autoshifter. But, OK, no 550i for me without 40 or so more hp. Can you tell me what is most significant about the article? I can't figure out anything in German unless it is in a table. Is a sechszylinder about the same thing as a slut in the US? I have to admit that I don't like the realtively low torquiness of the RS 4--as with the M5. But, the RS 4 seems to get the job done, while the M5 needs another 50 hp to be competitive in its class. It still won't work. It's competitors can easily add another 50 hp. I have a philosophy here. If you can't hack it in the hp class you are in, then change the engine not the class.
