Hey guys! I have two questions regarding e60s:

1. Are there radio buttons (1-2-3-4-etc) on the pre facelift models? Because I am either blind or there are none.. Is it all operated through the iDrive?

2. How black is the Carbon Black? (416) I mean on a normal sunny day does it appear blue or black? How would you define it?

Thanks in advance guys

To turn the radio on and off and change the volume, you don't use the iDrive, but to manually maneuver through the stations, you use the iDrive. The memory presets are also on the dash, but are not limited to putting your favorite radio stations on there, and instead can be used for navigation destinations and other things.

1. You need to pre-program the radio stations with the iDrive.
Then you change them from the steering wheel buttons, as the volume.
The "buttons" came with the facelift for the LCI models.

2. Carbon black is black. See pics on this site.

my wifey drive a 320ci cabrio with "carbon black" and IMO its a wonderful color. On a sunny day the car look dark dark blue with a pearl effect and when there is no sun, the car looks black.

Also at sunset it looks great, the surfaces with sun are black with pearl effect, the parts without sun are deeeeep black - wow.

IMO one of the best BMW colors (in comparision with "black sappire" of my e60, I always would choose carbon met.)
