Hey buddies,

So much for my 3 weeks old baby .... . Some idiot rear ended me while I was yielding to a pedestrian on a pedestrian crossing point. The guy was driving & talking on cellphone while in a Nissan Pathfinder which got all messed up. He told police he was doing 45 mph and did not even attempt to brake (15+ mph over speed limit). To make a long story short thanks to BMW robustness I am feeling fine, not a single bruise just back and neck pains. It did what it was supposed to do. Air bags did not deploy but rear left bumper and whole left quarter panel are damaged quite heavily. I am attaching some pics. Towing guys said it had visible frame damage and it would get totaled ... . I am so sad :-(. Any opinions (as judging from pictures would be appreciated).

Wow, sorry to hear and see...but glad you are alright. If there is frame damaged I would think it would be considered "totalled". Hope things get resolved to your satisfaction. Good luck, keep us posted.

oh wow..first of all, glad nothing to happened to you and you're walking out in 1 piece.
I had an e39 before and had way less damage than your car and my insurance totalled it...if there is frame damage there is a big chance it's totalled.
Hope everything turn out alright man.

Glad you made it out in one piece! This really builds my confidence in BMW. Hopefully the insurance company will get you a brand new replacement ASAP.
