My Ride: '04 545iS 6 spd, bought new via eBay, 11/05; Blk/Gry, Cold, L7, PDC, BMW Rear seatcover for pets.
First "Bumwa" was a new 1971 2002. High performance 5s since 1987. Beamer motorcycles too, currently on an 07 BMW K1200 GT; also a Moto Guzzi 1000 SP III.
This week, we had the coldest temps of our so-far mild winter--minus 5F on the way to work. I was pushing the suspensioin a bit on an exit ramp to tease some clown in a Japanese coupe ("Tiburion" sounds Roman to me...), and things worked fine. Then, moments later, pulling into our office parking lot, the gongs and icons went off, alerting me to the electronic anti-lean suspension failure.
Being an old acquiantance of false alarms on this car :'( , I just took it easy, parked and shut it off. 30 seconds later, upon restart (and a lap around the lot), no sign of failure warnings.
Has anyone else experienced this? I'll mention it to the dealer, but am not particularly concerned.
Cheers,
Ray Hull

Tiburon is a Hyundai which is a Korean car! Don't insult the japanese that badly! Anyways, I think its just the temperature affecting the sensors in some way, it was probably too cold and it malfunctioned for a bit. But also, like you said, "false alarms on this car".

I've seen this exact thing more than once. It did always happen when cold and it usually happened pretty quickly after driving off first thing in the morning. Once the car warmed up, even if it was still cold outside, I could restart the car and it would go away. Both last winter and this winter, the problem ended up being a marginally low fluid level (I think steering fluid) and after the dealer topped it off, the problem went away.

Thx Rudy, and judging from your avatar, I wondered when was the last time when YOU were "topped off?"
