Coolant level sensor question
 

Hi I just replaced my coolant expansion reservoir. It came with the coolant level sensor. I noticed that the new level sensor has a black thing over it. Is this a cover? Do I just leave it? I hope so I already finished everything. My old one doesn't have this black cover looking thing over the sensor. Does the actual sensor get in contact with the coolant? I'm wondering If I have to take the coolant out of the tank to take the sensor out if I have to. Thanks

I guess it's ok. Car did not over heat or has leaks anymore. The car also feels smother now that it has the correct coolant pressure.
