So I have a coolant leak on my 05' 545i again.... Every so often I would just add coolant as needed but my garage floor is starting to create a puddle. My mechanic said it's a common issue w/ the 545i and there is No Way of fixing it but to keep adding coolant when needed. He did say there is a company in CA that has invented a patented aftermarket part (bar type tool) that should fix the problem, part is about $2k. I was wondering if anyone has heard or used this devise. Sorry, I know I need more info on this invention but I figured someone might know what I'm talking about. Any help is much appreciated.
Also, my leak is coming from my engine and not from a hose leak or coolant tank. Thanks!

Must be talking about the water pipe that goes threw the engine. Normally you have to take the heads and the front of the engine appart to change this and it like 20 hours but with this part it can save you from doing that. Its a $700 part.

I have never used the vendor so I cannot comment on the reliablity or customer service but on the other BMW Forum I use he has been plugging this product nonstop... They are called BimmerZone.
$485 for the N62 and $585 for the N73:
