Hi Guys,
I just installed an amp, capacitor, and subwoofer yesterday. I tapped into the stock subwoofer input and directly connected to the aftermarket amp high input connector (instead of an RCA and that conversion). The problem is that the sub is either ON really loud or not on. It is not really volume knob sensitive. This gets annoying if I have to turn down my music a bit, all I hear is bass. The amp is on only about half power too.

Does anyone have a fix/idea/solution for this? I've been searching all day long on threads and I have not really come across anything.
Thanks!

Whoops I forgot. I have an 07 preLCI 530i without Logic

you need to run a bass knob controller from your aftermarket amp up to the front seat so you can control it yourself depending on which song is playing.

I have been looking into that but I have an Alpine Mono Amp that does not utilize the phone type cord and I am not using RCA's either. Ever heard of a bass knob that attaches with speaker cable?.... lol
