Just received a call from my service advisor telling me that the left control arm bushings are shot and usually recommend that they replace in pairs at $400/side. He then tells me that this is not covered by the CPO. I looked at the CPO info on BMW's website and on covered items it says suspension components and on non-covered items it says suspension components, not to vague.
Anyway, anybody have any history on this on your car and am I losing my mind thinking that $800 is a lot of money especially when I purchased a CPO car.
Thanks
Randy

$800 for bushings?. For that much cash they better be replacing the control arms on BOTH sides.

If you don't push back on this they will not replace. I would ask to talk to a manager, let him know that you are loosing faith in BMW and that you have a car with X,000 miles which falls in the warranty period and that if they cannot honor the warranty then you are not sure that your next car will be a BMW. I mentioned this during one of th 4 time my 07 X5 4.8 was in the shop (in 5 months). I told them I should have looked a bit harder at the Porsche and Mercedes instead of making my purchase and they have been very accommodating.

+1. I think the dealers do not just change the bushings. They will replace the control arms. Mine did at 39k
