Could anyone please confirm how to connect my BMW (57 plate - LCI) to my Laptop?
I've done a bit of research and apparently you can connect using the OBD port but i can't seem to find it. Apparently it should be on the driver's side by the right kneww but i've only got a storage compartment in mine. Any help is appreciated, picture would be nice.
Thanks

I have LHD so I am not sure if it is different but it is on the driver side above or under the "Open Trunk" button.

Here is a pic from an E90, mine is in a similar spot but over the trunk button:

Not a problem. They did tuck it away nicely. When I first found out I had no idea there was anything there. lol

Are you planning on doing some code for your ride?

So with the proper cable & software, I can use my laptop to read codes & reset service lights?

you can actually use a OBD2 bluetooth or usb adaptor and do this from your iphone or android phone (torque application on android now supports USB in addition to bluetooth)

Yes. You can also code your vehicle to work the way you want it to in certain areas, plus unlock some cool features.
