Confused car

Yesterday my girlfriend was driving my car with her keys. When we switched drivers, I put my key in and all of a sudden all of the milage measurements (miles to services and miles to empty tank) were in kilometers not miles despite having I-drive indicate that the unit were in miles. After a while, the car started displaying in miles again. Does anyone know what caused this hiccup?

easy fix, don't let her drive your e60 and take back the key

. I think it might have been the interchanging - still weird. My thought was that the computer was temporarily celebrating Octoberfest!

Do you have the idrive set up to recognize both keys as separate driver profiles? The car will allow you to set up different profiles for each key if you enable that function.
