Just had my '06 550i worked on today and they updated the software. Now the states past Arkansas alphabetically won't show up on the list when I hit new destination. I've tried ejecting the DVD and reinserting it, but still only get to Arkansas. I have iDrive and the in dash navi, etc.

Is there some sort of reset or something I need to do to get the other states to show up again?

Thank you

Would it not be quicker to ask your service advisor? You just paid for this didn't you?

If you got the newer map DVD it is split in 2. 1 DVD for east and 1 for west. The older ones were all on one disc. Check your glovebox for the other disc.

I suspect your map dvd is not being read - may be with a problem with the dvd itself or the drive. Curious that the problem appeared after an update to your car's s/w. I'd go back and report the issue immediately. Until you get back in, try to clean your dvd - I use a microfiber like I use to clean my eyeglasses. Chemicals etc are not required. Reinsert the dvd and see if it reads the data and populates the drive screen.

Thank you. I will try this!
