Hi all,

I have a problem with my BMW 545i 2005.
The battery ran out yesterday due forgot turn off headlight. Then I did a jump start, then plugged out the battery, and plugged in again.
Everything look like work fine. But I have some problem with system alarm sound:

PDC function : NO SOUND
"NO SEAT BELT" ALARM : NO SOUND
NAVIGATION: NO GUIDANCE
THE MAIN CD PLAYER ( UPPER THE DVD PLAYER) : NOT WORKING ( NO SOUND PLAYBACK while the screen still count play time) while the cd changer is still working fine.
VOICE CONTROL : NOT WORKING (WHEN I PRESS THE BUTTON, I DON'T HEAR ANYTHING AND NO VOICE CONTROL ICON ON THE SCREEN.

Addition question : do you know any solution for a VIDEO DVD PLAYER . I think I need to buy something to make the dvd PLAYER to be able to play DVD DISC on the screen.

Great thanks

Im no tech but I would take it to the dealer. Talk to them for a minimum labor cost work though or they'll rip you off.

DVD player could also be done talk to the dealer.

Or skip all of this and use the "Search" function this could of been already solved by someone else

Yes. I did . I searched a lot from google and through this forum but look like no one has a correct answer for my case. My car is salvaged, no warranty, and I know it's not cheap to take them to a dealer so I'm trying to do determine the problem and ask my uncle ( he's an electric engineer) to fix it.

Okay, but I still think, if you have a second key, you should try unlocking the car with that key and seeing if the situation is resolved. Each key (even pre-start button cars) have an individual "personality" that the car recognizes. I think you really should give it a try since you have nothing to lose. Also, give the "eject/eject/mute" reboot a try as well...

Too bad. I have 1 key only. I tried to reset battery with plug out flush 7 and 15 ( engine starter electric ) but still no result. Do you think software update will solve the problem ? If so, how much does it cost ? Thanks

i hope you had the key out of the ignition when you connected the jumpers. otherwise the voltage surge can do some damage.

sounds like your amp isnt working. maybe check the fuses for the amp.

did you shut down and restart the car to see if it works?

Yes, I did not take anything out. Should I try it now? If my ccc is broken, do I have to replace the whole computer system ? How much does it cost ?

A little bit confused. Does amp fuse number available on my fuses layout ?
And yes, I restarted my car but the problem still there.

Thanks
