E60 LCI-noob question re: DRLs and angel-eyes

so i'm gathering in the LCI headlamp assembly the H8 angel-eyes *are* the DRLs, i.e., there is no longer the separate forward facing DRLs.

correct?

Correct. They dim when the Xenon headlamps are on as well.
