My Ride: My ex-ride: EU '08 LCI 520dA. Space Grey, Sport Seats in Black Leather/Fabric Anthracite, Sport Steering Wheel, A/C with Extended Features, Hi-Fi Speakers, Cup Holders, Cruise with Braking function, Folding Rear Seats, Xenons, Park Distance Control.
I borrowed Suchet's pic and did trow in a pic of my car.
Both cars are without sport suspension.
Best comparison between 166 and 172 wheels ever.

That pic of the 166s doesn't look good, the car appears "jacked up" or something.

There is a slight downward angle with the 172's as opposed to the level side view/slight up view of the 166's...you 2 should just take a tape measure to your cars and compare the gap from tip of wheel to mid wheel well. Top of tire tread to wheel well may differ secondary to tires...

I did notice that... however, my eye is drawn more to the gap just behind the rear wheel. I'm just saying my eye tells me it's not quite right.

i have seen a few with the 166's and one with 172's... i like the 166's better

I think the ride height looks exactly the same on both pics the only differance is the tyres on the car with the 166's are more in foucs, that may be what is making the fender gap look more pronouned.
Any how M172 are still the reigning KING of OEM in my book maybe one of the new styles coming with the F-10 will dethrone them.
