the 20 way comfort seats on the 7series include the thigh support (the cushion that moves out towards the underneath of one's knee, like in the sport seats).

looking at the comfort seats picture in the E60 brochure shows this cushion not tightly stitched to the rest of the seat...suggesting a similar useage.

also the E60 user manual (page 37) mentions this forward moving cushion / thigh support.

my question is the following
To get this front thigh cushion in the comfort seats on an E60...MUST the car include the sport package (whether manual or steptronic)

It would NOT seem so, since the 20-way seats and are listed as a stand-alone option. Can anyone without a sport pkg and comfort seats confirm this ?

Thank You.

I can confirm that the comfortseats always comes with the cushion that moves out towards the underneath of one's knee, like in the sport seats.

Is it (the thigh support) motorized and per-key memorized (along w/ the other seat positions)? On both comfort and "normal" sports seats?

Thanks Beemer,
Woodstock , it is motorised in the 7 and the 20-way spec is handed down to the 5, so the answer on the comforrt seat should be 'yes'...Beemer should be able to confirm this.

Woodstock, i have just sat in an E60 with comfort seats, where the thigh support is motorised.
