Default Comfort Access factory option

I知 wondering if anyone knows how to disengage / remove / switch off the option which allows you to hold your fob key button for a few seconds which automatically opens all the windows and sunroof. I知 from Australia so I知 not sure if all the e60痴 had this option.

thanks

Has anyone removed the fuse for comfort access? Fuse number 36 in the passenger glove box (I have a December 2003 e60).

has anyone gone down this path and removed the fuse? There are a few comments on the forum about removing the 36 fuse but no body has followed up with their findings.

Just noticed you were having the issue with the windows rolling down by itself. Is that why you are trying to code it out? I would say if anything your coding has nothing to do with it. The BCM maybe a bad key would be the reason. If you haven't tested another key or removed the battery from the existing then I would try that to eliminate a key issue.

Hi and yes you are correct, the windows and sunroof rarely but randomly all open when the car is locked and parked.

thanks for your suggestion but unfortunately I have changed the battery on both keys and after a few months all windows and sunroof played up again

if I could code out this feature so that I could just use the central locking and the boot release that would be great.

Changing out the battery would not fix a faulty fob. I was stating to remove the battery from a fob to see if the fob itself is faulty (ex sticking button). Removing would isolate if it's a fob issue or something else.

As stated above you can code out that feature using BMW software tools but I assume you don't have the software needed. If so I can let you know what to change but doubt that will fix the issue unless it's a faulty fob.

If you want to code it. In NCSEXPERT code to nitch aktiv KOMFORTOEFFNUNG_FB and
KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_FB

Thanks for your response.

currently my diamond shape key has the 3 buttons, the first button (which is closest to the key) unlocks the car, if I hold the button down the sunroof and doors all open . The second button (which has the bmw logo) locks the doors and if I hold it down winds up and closes the sunroof. The third button opens the trunk . All work perfectly and I have to push each button about 1mm before they click and engage.

As both keys have been used and swapped and alternated when the windows and sunroof play up I’m confident it’s as you suggested , a software / programming issue . I can look at buying a BMW or similar programming tool. Also I can take to my mechanic and use his.

I’ll try and code it, could you tell me what to change?

Thanks again

BMW software tools is free and can be downloaded from coding forums or sites you'd just need a purchase a K+DCAN cable and have a laptop to install the software on.
