While I love the 525 / 530 inline 6's in comparison to others, they are showing their age, when will the new engines arrive?
(love to see what they did to the 8 to the 6's)
Cheers

My Ride: 2008 535i: June 6th start build, complete June 17th, at NY Port July 5th, at dealer July 10th, took delivery Friday July 13- Plantimum Bronze/Natural Brown Leather/Light Poplar, Sport Package, Sport Auto, Active Steering, Premium Package, CWP & PDC. Dinan Performance Software 384hp & 421 ft/lbs.
Some rumors , stated in recent Autoweek and from previous other sources, say that the 2005's could be turbo'd with the 3.0 putting out 280 hp. This is one of the main reasons I ordered a 545.
The existing 2.5 & 3.0 would be fine if every other car, in every price range, hadn't jacked up their hp & torque ratings over the past couple years.

Ah, that's cool. The 8 is an amazing engine and I surely wish I could afford it =)
I'd love a good ol turbo bmw - perhaps the m5? A man can dream can't he?

the 545 is a great car, something you should concider is that when it comes time to sell , the difference in price between the 545 and the 530 is about the same as when they are new ... basicly you get your money back and you get to drive a great car.
