Clunk from Auto tranny

Hi guys... I recently acuired a LCI 530 with N52k enine and everytime I start the car there is a jerk and a clunk sound coming from the auto tranny... anybody have the same prob. The car runs well and gear changes are smooth. If I leave it in N and restart the car, it doesn't have the clunk.
