I never drove a CLS but I drove the E550. It was boring compared to the 550i.

my boss has the cls 63/amg...blind spot was horrible in it when i drove it...

I think that they are 2 different cars, appealing to different buyers. Having said that I do like the styling of the CLS. It's a very attractive car and I would own it if it drove the way a BMW does. Additionally I think that while I find the styling progressive and modern I just could'nt buy it knowing full well that the BMW CS is around the corner, with styling and (I'm assuming ) handling that feels much more attractive and intuitive to me.
