I know they're not exactly the same car but give me your opinions. I don't really need the extra doors, but as you can see by my sig I love BMW's, especially the 5 and just like the way they drive.

Has anyone driven the AMG?? Is the steering and suspension too soft? I can't find any local to me so I don't really know what they'll feel like in that regard? What about maintenance/reliabilty? This isn't the supercharged V8, it's the reliable (from what I've read) 362 bhp n/a V8 with a 5 speed auto and paddle shifters.

The 545i I would get would have less than 50k and a 6 speed, preferably nav. The AMG in particular (p.s. I hate chrome):

Up to this day, I still wonder why I waited five long years to get back to BMW. My last car was an E55 AMG. I loved the power but didn't miss the drive!

i used to own a clk55 amg hence brabusw209amg. The drive on the 55 amg is not as nice as the 5 series with sports package. And I actually got blown away by a 545i when I was driving a 55 amg...well, the guy in the 545i drove really fast and I was scared and had to back off. Lots of power but be careful of the antifreeze leaking into the transmission. Blew my tranny and I spent $8K.
