I had a Climate comfort windscreen on my last car - E39 M5 - and it wasn't very effective.
On the E60, its applied to all of the windows, and it really does make a difference, car cools quicker, and when the sun is on the windows you don't feel like you are in a greenhouse, the glass takes most of the heat from the sunlight. I'm glad I had it fitted.
One problem it causes though...my car has a satellite based anti-theft system ( NOT Tracker ), and I also have an origin B2...both have GPS antenna which need to be placed so that they can get a signal.
CC Glass seems to be very effective at screening GPS sugnals, so the fitter took a couple of hours before he could find somehwere to fit the antenna where they couldn't be seen but were not blocked by the glass.
