About to order a 525d to replace my X5. Any opinions about Climate Comfort Laminated Glass option?

Not familiar with the option. Must be Europe only.

The glass is thicker and stops Infra red rays, keeping the car cooler in the sun.

Some peole dont like it as it stops inra red remote control from working through the windows

Blocking infrared light is exactly what window tint films are designed to do. Infrared light = heat.

I don't know what type of Infrared remote you are trying to use from inside a BMW.... The BMW key, and the HomeLink are both Radio remotes, not infrared. Totally different wavelength. Radio waves are large wavelength... Infrared are much shorter.
