I found out that's exactly the case. If prior to shut down of the car the audio source selection is anything else other than the single CD player, it will not click. That's is the strangest thing !
Perhaps you have the same problem as I do or did. I am still monitoring mine because I am not sure if my workshop did really do something to this. So far it has been good. Hopefully it's not a psychological thingy.
You should go back to your dealer and ask them to check. Mine told me they have a standard procedure to go through before they will change anything, and I complained all the way to the after sales head here (and still I didn't have it fixed officially)
