Clicking / Popping Sport Seat Fix

My drivers side seat has been making an annoying popping or clicking sound on acceleration. braking and cornering It wasn't very loud, but was really annoying. I tried adjusting the seat to its extremes and back, but that didn't help. So I searched here and also Googled for a solution, but didn't find anything relevant other than a few owners who had their entire lower seat and rails replaced for $1300 in parts plus labor. Last night I started looking into a possible cause by tilting the entire seat back almost as far as it could go and poking around underneath while my wife sat in back and stressed the seat to recreate the problem. I isolated the noise on the right side in the levers related to tilting. So I sprayed some WD40 on the lever pivot points, worked the seat to all possible adjustment extremes and the problem is now gone. There is some sort of spring assembly on the right side of the seat that I think may have been the actual cause. Because WD40 is so light and evaporates over time, I followed up with silicone lube that I worked into the spring and every friction point I could find.
