That would be good news but as I recall the orange corners were required by US DOT. Be sure the magazine isn't showing a European spec car. But I haven't followed this that closely, do I recall someone saying the 535 would not be available in Europe? Is it just being introduced there a bit later?

2008 5 series, they all have clear corners as you can see in facelift info , press releases, preliminary brochures posted.
I see the corners are clear on the roads on most of the new cars( US and Imports)

Thanks, had not looked over the 2008 info that closely. I like the all clear headlight, not sure I'm a big fan of the placement of the reflector on the wheel well like though...

IMHO these orange relectors are far more ugly than the previous orange incorporated into the light clusters on US spec E60s. Seems like a very tacky after thought more akin to what you would buy from a car accessory store if you're that kind of driver who likes sticking pointless accessories on your car.

Not at all becoming of an executive car.

Not entirely an "Executive Car" in the US.

Hardly an "Executive Car" in the US.

What do you mean? Do they not class the E60 as that special in the US?

Maybe I just get a distorted view because of those e60 owners who belong to this forum but I get the feeling that that (perhaps skewed) population comprises young(er) people who like to modify and drive their cars in a spirited way.

That particular segment I would't call "Executive".

That's more Maybach.

I sit to be corrected.
