There has always been a relationship between the current CIP version and the last line in the Versioncontroller section of the I drive hidden menu.
When I was upgrade to 19 it showed I-05-09-510-050509. I just got the car back from the dealer where they said that V20 was installed but the information above has not changed. Please can someone who has V20 check and see what your last line has changed to? TIA Streak |

Thanks Znod. There is no item menu number. This is not the cluster display hidden menu that you have to unlock, it's the Idrive one where you use the I drive controler to enter.
I dont think it works with cars with Nav. Streak |

I think you're right about it not working with NAV. Since they run the Measures Plan to see which of the approximately 25 modules need updating could it be the one that controls this display was not updated. I'm sure you have the list of CIPs (PROGMAN) versus Target Data Status (TGS). Your number equated to CIP 19.00 and there have been 4 TGS changes since in 5 CIP versions. Wish it would be updated consistantly so at least the non-NAV folks could have a way of tracking.

Thanks for the input. I have posed the question to the SA and will see what they come back with.

That number is only for 1 specific module and will not show you what CIP the car has on it
The ONLY way to tell your CIP number is to hok the car up to the dealers system and then comparing the cars total software number with what was on each CIP |

In cars with nav (nav pro) the hidden menu work, all three of them...
That's correct! I am may be dumb but the cluster is not working in mine, is it because it is already a 'chipped' one down to BE version? or what I only get in the cluster step1-3. In the idrive nothing. |
