Have seen similar postings re: same issue. Is there a fix/workaround for this?
Haven't even asked the dealer yet, trying to get the facts first before I go back.

I have the same problem!! After upgrading to CIP 17.01 I lost my bluetooth!
The dealer tried many different solutions to make it work, but it did not work! After every software upgrade I loose my bluetooth device, and BMW always need to load a new FA code into the car, to teel the car that it's equipped with bluetooth.. My dealer could't activate my bluetooth after the 17.01 software, so now I'm waiting for a new bluetooth device...

Press the idrive knob once from the main menu screen, scroll down to communication settings and then click, scroll to find bluetooth, and then click activate.
That's all. This makes the car visible to bluetooth devices.

I don't know for sure what software version I have, but I do have RDS, so I think that means 19.02??
Anyway, I tried checking the appropriate box in the Communication Settings menu, but it won't let me.
RDS does some weird things, too. (One of my presets is named "Skynard")
