My Ride: 530d (Jan 2005) premium pack, pro nav, steptronic

I will leave my car for service next week and will get upgrade from 16.0 to 17.1. Dealer told me he just received 17.1 yesterday.
Does anyone know what's new with this version ?

My Ride: 2005 530i Titanium Grey, Premium, Sport, Xenon, Active Steering and suspension, heated seats, etc., Sirius, etc.

I got 17.1 yesterday. So far I can tell you that my Blackberry 7100 now pairs with the car very nicely with all functions working but phonebook. Also the problem with all of the lights coming on (and sometimes staying on) when a door was opened while it was asleep is now fixed. Active steering seems a little different as well.

16.1 looks very old now (March 05).
I got information yesterday from GPM (92-Clichy)
I expect the bug with TMC (trafic info system) for non-motorway roads to be fixed.

17.1 is also supposed to address the steptronic transmission slam issue as well

Please,IS78000 keep me posted about the influence of this update on your transmission if auto.

I want to be sure that it improves the jerking when stopping and starting.
