CIP 20, no mp3. Anyone?

My Ride: 535d 2005
My car 535D 04/2005 with Pro radio and Pro nav was updated to sw version 20.01 last week.
The dealer who updated the software told me that CCC on my car does not support MP3 playback.
Should I believe them?

I was just updated with this software version today. My dealer told me that MP3 is a seperate thing they have to enable, which I requested they do. He also told me that my car was produced 2 months too early for MP3 (produced Feb 2005). After the update today I have mp3 working. I let him know that it took even though he didn't think my production date would work.

My Ride: UK 2005 530d E61
I have a 530d E61 built 01/05 with Pro Radio/Pro Nav - this is two months earlier than the official start date that BMW gives for CCC MP3 capability (03/05). I had an upgrade from CIP 17 to 20 coincident with a service a couple of days ago. The service advisor confirmed MP3 was an additional programming step after the upgrade. Despite the build date of my car, they agreed to give it a go and it seems to work just fine. So I'd say talk to your service advisor and give it a go.
