Looks like a lot of engine parameters got changed with 17.1. Any idea if these settings will affect the DMS ECU mapping if the CIP update was done AFTER DMS?

That was just for some of the new N52 engines that has a rough running problem and showed those error messages

Oh so meaning the "memory" steering wheel doest remember its last position? Hummm not sure if I have that problem... somtimes I thought I felt that the wheel feels a little different but didnt really bother me since its set pretty high up already so when it shuts off it doesnt move that much higher.

That's not the issue I have (although upon re-reading the description, it's likely what they're referring to). My steering wheel is off center--when driving straight it points a few degrees to the left. When they installed 17.01 with my aux input install, it was way off (pointing to 11:00 instead of 12:00) and they had to reset AS, but now it's about 1/3 as much off center and I don't notice it all the time--so that's what I thought it was referring to.

You just need them to reset your active steering...it's a simple process of hooking the car up to the computer and performing some procedure.

As far as the problem I'm seeing with the steering wheel, and I remember a post about it here many moons ago, is that the wheel creeps down from the memory postition over time. Every so often, I'll get the feeling the wheel is too low and I'll press the memory button on the seat and it'll move back into the stored position. After a few days, it'll creep back down (and no, I'm not adjusting anything, I'm the only driver, using only one key, etc.)

They reset AS when I brought the car back after I noticed the steering wheel being way off center after 17.01 installed. Seemed fine for a few weeks, but now it's slightly off center. Time for a new iDrive option: reset AS!

Ah.... Well I have two drivers for the car so two sets of memory are being used... I have had to "readjust" the wheel before but never thought twice about it since I figured some stupid memory got messed up and it wasnt a big deal... Now that I read it... Hummmmmmmmmmmmm somthing to keep in the back of my head.

My car drives so much better now.

AS is improved, tranny is improved, the HUD is moved up, waaaay better to see, the new windows make the car so nice... The rattling noise is gone when AS wakes up upon unlocking the car...

Just a couple problems left:

Don't know how long the battery will last this time,
Next entertainment source button on steering wheel still doesn't circle through all sources,
ACC stalk doesn't work as it should.

Over al, I am so happy to have my car back. The 525d loaner made me seasick.

Isn't 19.0 supposed to provide MP3 for NAV cars ?

good to hear, I have the wrong steering wheel position issue - good to hear there's a solution. Will give them a call before the car comes out of service.
Good info !
