How much difference (in practical terms) does the 'chipping' make? The 535d is awesome on the road anyway - would you have been embarassed on the tack without being chipped? Just asking as I was thinking about getting mine chipped.

Hard to answer - the only fair way would be to remove the box and go out on circuit. It certainly makes a difference, but I don't think I would have been embarassed without it. I don't know if you noticed but I did actually stay quite far behind vehicles in front on the corners (strictly no overtaking on corners) and correspondingly when it came to overtake it took a wee while to draw alongside before getting past. In a race, I would have been right behind them waiting to get past, so I think the extra power from the chip helped the style of driving on the day i.e. non agressive

Took my chipped 535d onto the track yesterday (East Fortune, near Edinburgh). Being the only diesel, and the heaviest car there, I think it did pretty well!?

Hi Folks!

I was trying to download your 535d-chipped videos from the address shown above, however I had no success. http://forums.e60.net/style_images/1/folde...icons/icon2.gif
Could someone give me an advice how to get those files (they sure sound interesting indeed).
I know how to download files, so I am just wondering is the link working or are the files replaced to another server? Or am I perhaps having some kind of resctricted connection? (not that I am aware of)
Keep up the great threads and spirit.

I have been "by-reader" for a while. http://forums.e60.net/style_images/1/folde...icons/icon1.gif

All the Best

Hi Guys, sorry just back from my honeymoon so didn't get a chance to reply earlier. Not sure what seems to have been happening, but the link is working OK now.

Cheers

Nice footage!
Did you increase the tyrepressure and if so, how much?
Happy driving.
