I received a britax roundabout (with latch) this month. I dont have the baby yet -- so i have a few weeks to practice putting it in.
I installed it today and it feels a little loose. Both latches are snug (i pulled on the straps to tighten each side)
it is currently rear-facing. Pulling down on the back -- it feels tight. Pulling up on the back -- it comes up.
Am i just being paranoid -- or are all rear-facing seats like this?
thanks!
charley

If I understand you correctly, yes, rear-facing seats will move exactly as you describe. The smartest thing for you to do is call your local police or AAA motor club office and ask them where they have child seat inspections. My local police/fire department do them for free every so often on Saturdays.
Even though I think you've installed your seat correctly, it wouldn't hurt to get an expert opinion on it...

I agree, it sounds like you installed it correctly. The seat should not be able to move forward at all, but you can lift the end where the head is (on a rear facing seat) some.
To make it as tight as possible I learned a trick - sit (kneel) on the seat when tightening the straps. The car seat will actually be pressed against the seat and will leave indentations on the leather when you remove it, but have no fear - none have ever been permanent in our cars.

Thats what I do. Push down with one knee on the seat as hard as I can.
We have the same seat and it was pretty tight after the knee trick.
oH, AND i PUT AN OLD BATH TOWEL UNDER THE SEAT, SAVED ME A LOT OF CLEANING AND IT STILL SAT TIGHT WITH IT.
Sorry, caps lock was on...
