My Ride: 2005 545i with everything
I have an '05 545i.
The active steering has been flawless and I love it. I can't drive another car without it and not feel like a bus driver. The sport seats--I hated them at first but now after having the car for 3 years I think they're great. It's not for fat people--they really hold you in place. I'm 6 foot 1, 220.
The advice to buy one without the sport package is way off. Seriously 95% of people on the board will tell you the opposite, including me. This car without the sport package drives like an avalon. With the sport package it drives like a sports car.
All in all it's been a reliable and great car. I just bought it off lease if that tells you anything.

What if it were to come down to a 545 without the sports package or a 530 WITH the sports package? I can always upgrade the suspension on the Comfort 545 right?
What does the 545 come with standard that the I6 models do not?
ie. the E39 540 came standard with the full OBC, one key twist start, Montana Leather, etc. Those cost extra on a 528 back in the day.
