I am almost sure that the watertemperature stays to low (especially when it is very cold outside - below 0 degrees).
I want to check it but there is no meter display. I have found the info about the hidden OBC menu. I can start it but as soon as I got 07.__ the normal display comes back. No water temperature at all. What do I wrong ?

Scoopz over at M5Board posted E60 hidden menu info for OBC, iDrive and Nav. I see the water / coolant temp at item 07.00.

I have stepped through his instructions and they work, although I've not looked at 07.00 specifically.

I went through Scoopz' instructions. My coolant temperature (07.00) was 18 C, air temperature (07.01) was 0.0 C. Vehicle has been parked for a few hours.

Follow Scoopz' instructions steps 1 throough 7 to enter hidden menu and further unlock items in the hidden menu. By default, 07__ is locked. That's why it did not display for you.

it works, the unlock code was wrong. I took 6 numbers and I should use the last 5 number for the determination of the unlock code.

If the last five numbers of your VIN is 12321, the unlock code is 1+2+3+2+1 which is 9.

Follow steps 1 through 7 of Scoops' instructions, using the unlock code representing the last 5 digits of your VIN.

*edit* nevermind I figured it out, I was adding all 6 numbers that popped up on the display instead of the last 5...
