My son just had to get a new battery for his (‘05 530i E60) and we need to get it registered. Mine will prob need one soon (‘10 535i E60) as well.
I can go to my Indy mechanic but he’s REALLY busy and kind of far away. Wondering, what is the cheapest way to register new batteries from home? Looked at iCarly but I’m not giving anyone $80+ every year for those services (plus my car is already custom programmed to boot).
Computer literate, but no expert.
Suggestions appreciated.
Thanks,

It is also not imperative the battery is registered the same day. I've driven weeks before registering a new battery. Also important is that if you change the battery type (AGM or flooded) or capacity, this is an additional step to tell the car what type and capacity is installed. If you just replace the battery with the same type and capacity, only registering is necessary.
